The Shimano Tallus IGFA Conventional Rod is built for serious offshore anglers targeting powerful big-game species with heavy conventional tackle. Featuring Shimano's TC4 blank construction and premium AFTCO roller guides, the Tallus IGFA delivers the strength, durability, and dependable performance needed for demanding offshore trolling applications.

Designed to pair with Shimano Tiagra 50W, 80, and 130 conventional reels, the Tallus IGFA series provides a powerful foundation for heavy-tackle fishing setups. Its TC4 construction offers the backbone needed to handle hard-fighting offshore gamefish, while AFTCO roller guides help manage line movement and reduce friction under heavy loads during demanding battles.

Available in blade-only configurations, the Shimano Tallus IGFA allows anglers to select a compatible rod butt to suit their fishing style, boat setup, and preferred fighting position. Select configurations are also offered with a Stuart butt, providing additional options for anglers building a complete offshore trolling setup.
